"Our Streets"

Do we expect the children and adults who live in St. Michael's Parish to come to us or should we reach out to them?

As a beginning the “Our Streets” project involves walking all 75 streets of St. Michael’s parish and praying.

It's a slow walk, not for a physical benefit but to make a connection with the 7500 plus adults and children who live in these streets.

We may pray individually or collectively. Quietly and with reverence.

There are no tambourines, no beating drums and no banners to carry. Maybe welcome cards to hand out?

During September and October 2019 the walks start from our Perry Street car park at 5pm and return by 6pm. It is expected that the walks will cease in November due to the weather and increase darkness. Re-starting in July 2020. Later than planned due to the Corona Virus emergency. An hour from our busy lives.
